ABOUT US
Cayuse Outfitting is in the Clearwater National Forest in the northeastern part of Idaho. It is operated by Outfitter, Dan Everson (License #8601). Dan was born and raised in Western Montana along the Idaho border. He has been successfully guiding in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho for over 35 years. Dan and the rest of the Cayuse outfitting team are committed to creating a rewarding hunting experience across all the species during every season.

Our Stock
Norm, Wilma, Winchester, and Rudy are just a few of the names you will hear around camp. Cayuse outfitting prides itself on owning dependable stock that can haul hunters, gear, meat, saws, tents, and anything else you can put on their back. Horseback hunts are an incredible experience, they are even more special when the stock cooperates as planned. This group of livestock won’t let you down.
Our Camps
We hunt from a combination of cabin and solid floor wall tents at our main camp. Main camp includes a group lodge with cook station, along with cabins for the hunters. We have electricity, running water, hot showers and other amenities to ensure your back country stay is comfortable. For our ride in camps, we have canvas wall tents, cots, and dedicated cook tents to ensure you have enough room to dry off and sleep comfortably each night.
Our Hospitality
During your time with us, you may get cold or wet, but we can promise you won’t be hungry. We have the ice chests stocked with food. We prepare fresh home cooked meals for breakfast and dinner. We specialize in everything from biscuits and gravy to prime rib and whiskey. We take our food and drinks as seriously as we take our hunting.
